Holy Week

Happy Palm Sunday!!!!
I hope you enjoyed today! I keep thinking about what the Sunday before the Resurrection was like. The triumphant entry of Jesus coming into Jerusalem!!! What was that like to be there?
I can't imagine what Jesus was thinking going into Jerusalem. He knew what was going to happen and freely gave Himself upon the Cross. The magnitude and depth of His love is overwhelming and astounding! This is the week to celebrate this Love and remember why we celebrate!!!!
I want to think about the Cross all week (even more than normally)! THANK YOU, FATHER FOR THIS WEEK!!!!
Happy Holy Week!
I am praying that this week the Father would show me more of His Story and that it would deeply effect my heart!
{Sorry, for the lack of posting this weekend! I just took time for some R &R and then my camera batteries died so....I will have pics up tomorrow!}
Hope you had a fabulous week and rejoiced in the fact that JESUS LIVES!!!!!!

Kids Say the Darnest Things!

So today I was my 3rd grade classroom and this boy said the funniest thing to me! I nearly died laughing! Our conversion went something like this....

3rd Grader: "Miss Van Zandt, you look just like my mom."

Me: "Oh, thanks." (being polite...he is so cute and was being so sweet!)

3rd Grader: "Well, except that she is Mexican!"

Me: "Well I am definately not Mexican, but thanks!"

**** I have laughed ALLLLLLLLLL day about this! It was so funny I near fell over!

One thing, I love about education is it is never boring and the kids can totally make your day by saying something so sweet! :)

Hope you had a fabulous Thursday!

Tomorrow is Friday!
{Praise Jesus!}

Do you KNOW HIM?

Every year at UMHB there is a spring Revival! I love this "tradition" in our school and it is such a huge event including a huge white tent in the quad of our campus! Last year, I was on the planning committee for Revival and it seriously has been the absolute best thing that I have done while I have been in college!!!!!!!!!
Tonight, I went to my very last Revival as a UMHB student. This is so bitter sweet. Yes, I am ready to be done with school but the memories are hard to let go of this place. I know God called me here for this time and I can see how He has changed me in the process. Thank you Father!
Tonight, as the theme states above, will talked about knowing Christ and living our lives in His Light! I desire to know Him more deeply and for Him to stir my heart!
Knowing Jesus is the only way we can impact others for His name! I am praying that I would know Him more and He would be made known in my life!

Show Us Your Life- M Trips

Show Us Your Life with Kelly's Korner

Today for "Show Us Your Life" it is "M" trips! Almost two years ago, I spent my summer in East Asia (aka China). I studied at a university there and made friends. I was apart of a team of six girls from all over Texas and Oklahoma. This was the absolute best summer of my life. I have never felt more at "home" and LOVED living there. Being overseas has changed how I live here in America for the better and has opened my eyes to some many new things!

I have never liked the word "missions." I feel like our life is a mission. Truth be told we should be intentional about telling people about Jesus wherever we are and in whatever we are doing! I have learned to be more intentional now after being overseas and seeing how desperately people need to know the Good News of our Savior!!!!!!!!!

My heart does long to travel back to China. I don't know when or for how long but personally I don't feel like I cannot not go back. I love those precious people and long for them to know Jesus!

Here is some pictures.

This is my team and our Chinese teacher.

Some of my friends

The girl with her arm around me, I still email back and forth with!

{Please pray she (and these other girls) would come to know Jesus! While in China, I found out her grandmother was a Believer!! What ancient work of the Father!!!!}

This was one of my favorite meals. I ate it for lunch almost everyday!
{Spicy Chicken with Peppers and Rice}

:)

Oh the children! I could write a whole blog post about them! They are so sweet and precious! I wanted to bring some of them back with me!!!!

Here is our Indian friends!
{Who were also studying at the same university!}

Here is a Chinese doctor that taught us Chinese massage.

This is one of my favorite pictures ever! :)

As you can see, pictures tell stories and seeing peoples faces make them all the more real. The greatest times of my trip were when I got to share the Good News with friends. NOTHING can replace or top that! I am praying for souls to still be saved and the Lord to bring a great harvest of His people to Him!
