Bluebonnets!

Last week, after the race we took some bluebonnet pictures! In Texas, this is an annual event and my parents happen to have a bunch in their backyard! We have taken pictures in them since we were really little! :)

The Big ONE!

Today is my sweet little cousin Avery's FIRST birthday! I can still remember meeting her and holding her for the first time! {You can read about that here!!!}

I cannot believe she is ONE! Boy, does time fly when you are having fun! :)

This is the first time I got to hold her! {And yes I did knit the blanket in the pic!}

{Side note: Looking at this picture shows me how different I truly look from a year ago! WOW...even I am a little amazed looking at that! I don't remember my hair being that dark...but I guess it was!}

Why I Haven't Blogged Much...

So I haven't blogged much in the last week due to the fact that I had to turn in my curriculum unit! This unit is a semesters worth of work and one of the biggest projects an education major has to do!

And guess what?

I AM FINISHED WITH IT!!!!!!

Praise the Lord! :)

Today, was my very last official day of class as a college student! WOW! Where has all of the time gone? The is my very last week of finals and I am trilled about that!

I also got a surprise this week from my cousin, Heather! She sent my sister Bethany and I this box of stuff!

It was so sweet of her and such a surprise! I just love getting "snail mail!"

My 2nd 5K!!!!

Today, I ran my second 5K race! I ran my first 5K race two weeks ago. My dad ran with me again and we finished together! It is so nice to run with him! My roommate also ran the 5K. My mom and sister completed it too! So we had a great morning and a lot of fun! My dad and I bet our previous time by a minute and forty-one seconds! I was so proud! So today, we finished in 35 minutes and 40 seconds! :) (I know for some that is slow but so great for me!!!!)

About that time...

Hello,

I hope you have had a wonderful Wednesday! Sorry I haven't updated from the rest of my weekend! This is the last full week of class and I am beyond busy! BUT there is a light at the end of the tunnel and I am thrilled about that!!! :)

I am excited to transition into "summer" and really ready for some of the fun things I have planned as well as just to get to see some friends/family that I normally do not get to!

I will update more later this week!

Hosanna's First Birthday!!!!

On Saturday, I went to College Station to celebrate Hosanna's 1st birthday! Hosanna is my friend Emily's little girl! I met Emily my freshman year at UMHB and we became instant friends. (One of the major things that we have in common is our love for people especially Asian people. She is one of the major influences and supporters for my trip to China!!!!)

My sister, Bethany came with me and we had a great time! The party was wonderful and afterward Beth and I went to see our cousin for a little bit. Our day was wonderful but we were so tired when we got home!!!

Busy

Hey!

So these last couple of days have been crazy but wonderful! Between school, my friend Sarah coming into town and Midnight March (a beloved UMHB tradition...will post LOTS of pictures soon!) life is just nuts!

Looking forward to a fun day tomorrow too! I am headed to College Station to visit my friend for her daughter's first birthday and then seeing my cousin! Busy, busy, busy! :)

Senior Etiquette Dinner

So last night, I went to my SENIOR (yes I have to capitalize that every time, because thank the good Lord I am almost done!!!) Etiquette Dinner! This dinner is to honor and congratulate the SENIORS as well as be an informative event. In other words, make sure before you are going to graduate that you know how to properly handle yourself at a formal dinner...i.e. no slurping your soup, mixing up the forks, or drinking someone else's water!!!

It was a great 5 course dinner and I had a lot of fun! Most of the etiquette I already knew but it never hurts to brush up on such things...because you never know when you will be invited to a White House dinner, right???

Anyway....on to the pictures!
