Show Us Your Life- M Trips

Today for "Show Us Your Life" it is "M" trips! Almost two years ago, I spent my summer in East Asia (aka China). I studied at a university there and made friends. I was apart of a team of six girls from all over Texas and Oklahoma. This was the absolute best summer of my life. I have never felt more at "home" and LOVED living there. Being overseas has changed how I live here in America for the better and has opened my eyes to some many new things!

I have never liked the word "missions." I feel like our life is a mission. Truth be told we should be intentional about telling people about Jesus wherever we are and in whatever we are doing! I have learned to be more intentional now after being overseas and seeing how desperately people need to know the Good News of our Savior!!!!!!!!!

My heart does long to travel back to China. I don't know when or for how long but personally I don't feel like I cannot not go back. I love those precious people and long for them to know Jesus!

As you can see, pictures tell stories and seeing peoples faces make them all the more real. The greatest times of my trip were when I got to share the Good News with friends. NOTHING can replace or top that! I am praying for souls to still be saved and the Lord to bring a great harvest of His people to Him!

Show Us Your Life-"Normal Day"

Today for "Show Us Your Life" is what your typical day looks like!

A "normal day" for me always changes from day to day because my schedule changes depending on the day of the week! But here is what most days look like:

Between 6:00-7:00 AM--Wake Up!

7:00-10:00--Workout/Read the Word/Shower/Get Ready

{or class somedays!}

10:00-12:00-- Class

12:00-1:00-- Lunch

1:00-4:00-- Class/Do homework

4:00-5:00--Workout if didn't in the morning/Run errands

5:00--Shower (after working out)/Make Dinner

6:00(ish)--Eat dinner! :)

7:00-9:30--More Homework/Catch up on blogging/Watch TV

9:30--Get Ready for bed/Read

10:15-11:00--Go to bed!

And repeat!

Show Us Your Life- Beauty Tips!

Well, it is Friday again! WOW! Cannot believe how fast this year is already going! Today for show us your life is Beauty Tips from Kelly's Korner!

These are my beauty tips for you all!

1. "Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she
shall be praised."

--Proverbs 31:30

I definitely think to be a truly beautiful woman you have to fear the Lord, but not in a afraid way, in a reverent and upholding way. Women who love the Lord are beautiful and their beauty is in that love. This love is amazing and contagious!

2. Have a great hairspray! My favorite is Freeze It! It works wonderfully and holds all day!

{But make sure you buy the Original in the purple logo! It works the best!!!!}

2. Use a great shampoo! I use Bed Head for Blondes. And yes, it is called Dumb Blonde but I take offence to that!

4. Eyeliner! I love this liquid eyeliner by NYC! It is so cheap and works great!

5. I use Revlon Age Defying Makeup Foundation! It goes on so smooth and I feel like it stays on pretty well!

6. I use this moisturizer! It is a lotion but I also use it on my face! :)

Show Us Your Life-Fashion Tips!

This week for Kelly's Show Us Your Life, the topic is fashion tips!

So here are mine...I believe you do not have to spend a lot of money to look/feel great! You should wear what looks good on you and you feel good in! Because, lets face it if you don't feel good you can't be at your best! Even women who love Jesus, can have fashion sense! He has commanded us to love one another but also ourselves!

Briana's Fashion Tips:

1. It's ALL about the shoes!

Shoes can totally make an outfit!

I wear a lot of flats...some are pictured above.... they are comfortable but still cute! I do wear heals occasionally but it needs to be a non-marathon walking event! :)

2. JEWELRY!

I love jewelry...the bigger and more color the better! It can really dress up an outfit!

I also love dresses! They are great for spring/summer and even fall/winter. I just wear a long sleeved shirt underneath! :) Of course, with jewelry too!

I store my jewelry in a large 3 drawer plastic container! :)

3. When you can, always wear a scarf!

You can always wear a solid shirt/dress and a scarf with it! :)

In Texas, scarf season doesn't last as long as I would like but I make the most of it! :)

This my newest scarf! I got it at Target for $3.74! Heck yes! I wore it hear with a solid black shirt!

4. Buy items you can use to layer!

I know Texas weather is so crazy and unpredictable so I buy things that I can wear almost all year either with a sweater or jacket for cold months or by itself during the summer, which in Texas is from March to November! :)

Or here...I wore this sleeve less top this past summer and here it is in December!

5. I love this soft track suits! :) They are great to wear running errands or around the house! And they can be cute too! I have worn them with all kinds of scarves and jewelry!

Show Us Your Life-Favorite Shopping Spots!

So today over at Kelly's Korner, she is discussing our favorite shopping spots! And like any girl I like to shop! So here are a few of my favorite places to visit!

Okay, let me be honest here....Hobby Lobby is probably my favorite place to go ever. I love the fact that they have good clearance and their stuff is really cute! A LOT {meaning almost all} of my decorating stuff comes from here.

This is another great place for clearance stuff! I bought lots of stuff here before and after Christmas this year. Sometimes it can be hit or miss but if you watch for sales, you can get some great deals!

Oh WM! How I love thee! I could go to Wal-mart multiple times a week if I had the time or wanted to! I love just looking around at the neat stuff they have. Now don't get me wrong sometimes it is just plain junk but then sometimes you can find great deals/stuff! I browse their clearance and decor/craft sections often.
{This year, they had the best scarves for only $5 each! I have at least 3 of them already!}




I do get quite a bit of clothes from Penny's especially since I dress up many days a week. Sales here can be harder to come by but again it is all about timing.

I also shop at Cato Fashion store often. I LOVE their jewelry! It is really cute and cheap!
TJ's is another fun place to browse around! You can find some great deals here as well! But you have to go often...and where I live now they do not have one!





Oh Tarjay! LOVE this store and could spend WAY too much money here if I had the money or time!

Show Us Your Life- New Years Resolutions!

I love reading Kelly's blog! I found it several months ago and just love reading it! She does "Show Us Your Life" on Fridays and it basically is different topics to blog about! So some Fridays if I can relate to the topics I will post about them! :)

This week's is our New Year Resolutions. I am not a big resolutions kinda girl because honestly I think sometimes it is in name only. So if I had a come up with a resolution for 2010, I would say mine is to read the Bible cover to cover in '10. Every chapter, every line, every word. I trust the Lord to reveal much through His word this year! I am excited to learn and grow this year!
