Snow Days 2011

So, for the last 653 days we have been inside due to ice, freezing temperatures and then yesterday snow!!! Not really, it was only 4 days but felt like many, many more than that!!!! The snow was very pretty! We got about 4 to 5 inches which in Texas equals TONS!!!

Snow Ice Cream!!!! Definitely the best part! I had never made it before but it was delicious! :)

Today, Day #5 of the ARTIC Blast of 2011 finally the temperatures warmed up more than they expected and it was great! Snow is now a thing of the past here....well that is until next week when it is suppose to snow again! haha! Gotta love Texas!

Happy February!!!

Well, February has brought ice, snow and COLD temps to Texas!!! This is day two of school being cancelled (in almost all of North Texas) and tomorrow will be day three! Crazy huh!? We are suppose to have a record low tonight around 10 degrees! Apparently, this is the coldest it has been here in fifteen years! WOW!

The Time Has Come!

Well, Spring Break is offically over. I am back home as of yesterday afternoon {my apartment!}. Yesterday was a great day but fairly busy! We had snow on our drive to church! Crazy for March in Texas! I am so over snow this year. I am a warm weather girl all the way so this winter has been real rough! Hoperfully the cold and snow is gone for A LONG time!

It was 70 degrees and beautiful today!

This afternoon I went to visit some friends and see their new baby! I have watched their oldest two kids for two years now and now they have a third precious little one! :)

Spring Saturday!

So today is the first day of Spring! Happy Spring ladies and gents! :)

It was 75 degrees yesterday in Texas and now it is snowing!

A Crazy Weather Week!

So this week has been absolutely crazy!!! I am glad it is over but it still was a good week! Our weather this week has been crazy as well! It was doing this on Tuesday...

This is about an hour after I got up on Tuesday!

And on Thursday, I broke out my chacos! {Chacos are the best shoes in the world. When I was overseas in China I were them everyday! They are expensive but worth every penny!}

I am so glad is has been warmer the last couple of days! :)

Snow Much Fun!!!!!!!!!

So on Tuesday it SNOWED!!! It was a great surprise and a much needed break from school! Here in central Texas, we got about 4 inches which is a lot of snow for here! Someone told me that it hasn't snowed that much here in about 20+ years! So what did we do? We played! :)

A White Christmas Eve!

Merry Christmas Eve!!!!

A white Christmas it is indeed here! I don't remember if we have ever had one before so this has been a really fun day! (It was 70 degrees here in Texas yesterday and today it is 25 degrees and snowing! Gotta love Texas!)

We had the Van Zandt (Dad's side) Christmas gift exchange today! We had a great time and it snowed the whole time! {I will post pictures later once I compile them from all of the different cameras!}

I LOVE Christmas so much! Celebrating the birth of our Savior is so special because Him birth changed the world for all of eternity! Without Him, we would be lost! His birth made the Cross possible! He is the greatest gift ever given!

I hope you celebrate this year from the bottom of your heart! Thank the Lord for all that He is! Cherish your time and love on those around you!
