So today has been a good and calm day of sorts! I love having Saturday to catch up on all of things that I just haven't gotten around to during the week! :)

Yesterday, I bought this armband for my ipod when I work out! Today was the first day I have used it and I LOVE it! It is so nice not to worry about dropping my ipod or tripping and falling because of it...yes, I am that talented that one day I knew it would happen!

Mine is black inside of white and I have a pink ipod! :)

My roommate Stefanie and I went to Target for a little bit and looked around! :) I bought a cute long sleeve shirt for $2.68...because apparently winter has decided to return to Texas! I am dreaming of summer!
And what could make a Saturday more perfect than a trip to Walmart?

Show Us Your Life-Fashion Tips!

This week for Kelly's Show Us Your Life, the topic is fashion tips!

So here are mine...I believe you do not have to spend a lot of money to look/feel great! You should wear what looks good on you and you feel good in! Because, lets face it if you don't feel good you can't be at your best! Even women who love Jesus, can have fashion sense! He has commanded us to love one another but also ourselves!

Briana's Fashion Tips:

1. It's ALL about the shoes!

Shoes can totally make an outfit!

I wear a lot of flats...some are pictured above.... they are comfortable but still cute! I do wear heals occasionally but it needs to be a non-marathon walking event! :)

2. JEWELRY!

I love jewelry...the bigger and more color the better! It can really dress up an outfit!

I also love dresses! They are great for spring/summer and even fall/winter. I just wear a long sleeved shirt underneath! :) Of course, with jewelry too!

3. When you can, always wear a scarf!

You can always wear a solid shirt/dress and a scarf with it! :)

In Texas, scarf season doesn't last as long as I would like but I make the most of it! :)

4. Buy items you can use to layer!

I know Texas weather is so crazy and unpredictable so I buy things that I can wear almost all year either with a sweater or jacket for cold months or by itself during the summer, which in Texas is from March to November! :)

Or here...I wore this sleeve less top this past summer and here it is in December!

5. I love this soft track suits! :) They are great to wear running errands or around the house! And they can be cute too! I have worn them with all kinds of scarves and jewelry!

So.....this week!

So this week has been absolutely crazy! School is in full swing and I started interning this week! It has definately been an experience already! I actually am in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade classrooms this semester! Definately different than my first graders last semester! This kids are as tall as me atleast some of them are! The shock is slowly wearing off but then the reality set in that I have 90+ kids names to learn! Oh man! I just don't know if that is going to happen!

I am good with names but I am not THAT good! I really love to learn everyone's name because I feel that is special! I LOVE for people to call my name....a name is your idenity and who you are! Though, I about passed out when my first students started calling me, "Miss Van Zandt."

Now, I am used to that and love to hear that as well!

Other than school not much has been going on, but I did get to watch this precious and cute little girl on Wednesday! :)

Fun Weekend!

This past weekend my best friend, Sarah came to visit me! She hasn't come to Belton since last April so it was very exciting!!! We grew up together and lived together our first year of college!

On Friday night after Sarah got here we had so much to catch up on and had a great time! Below are some pictures from Saturday!!!

Then, we went to see the Blind Side! This was my second time seeing it and I think it was even better the second time! I LOVE this movie! It is definately one to buy!

After the movie we came back to my apartment to make dinner! :)
