Just a tad Late!

I should have posted this on Friday but I have been busy packing and moving out of my apartment! {For the record, moving might be one of my least favorite things to do ever!!!}

Apartment Pictures!

Okay, I know finally!!!! Here is some pictures of my apartment!! :) I LOVE where I am living and my apartment! Hope you enjoy! :)

Hello Fall!

Happy First Day of Fall! :)

Well, it has actually felt like fall today! It has been rainy on and off and only like 60 degrees and very breezy! WOW! For Texas that is amazing this time of year...I think it was still like 85 last year in October! Anyway, it does feel like fall offically now, so my apartment is semi decorated for this event! (I am sure I will find more stuff this weekend when I visit my parents! My mom also has the best decorations!!!) But here is what we have so far....

Something Sweet

So last week before Welcome Week {this is UMHB's freshman orientation...which I helped with} I decided to try my great Grandma Hazel's coffee cake recipe and it is FABULOUS!!! :) This was my first time to cook in my apartment! :)

So very good! I put some in Bethany's room {my sister} for her first day moving in! Here is my adventure in pictures! :)

First Day of School

Well today was the first day of class for me! I had to classes today and everything went great...just a lot of stuff to do before December! I did have my roommate take my picture because this is my last first day of school {for the fall} as a student. {Next fall, I will be student teaching and not taking actual classes.}

Here is the UMHB charter sign...UMHB is the oldest University in Texas and chartered by the Republic of Texas in 1845. We have A LOT of history! :)

A Sneak Peek

WHEW!! The last few days have been a whirl wind! :) We got home safe and sound Friday night from Florida. It was so hard to leave this year! :) I think I could spend atleast a month a summer at the beach and be just fine! :)

Sunday (yesterday) I moved into my new apartment and I LOVE it! I am still unpacking and decorating but eventually I will post pictures! (soon!)

Here is a sneak peak at a couple of things...

Here is the Welcome mat my Mom brought me! I love these colors and it is so nice to see every time I climb the stairs to my apartment! :)

Moving is A LOT of work! I am tired just thinking about it! ha!

I love the color purple and bought some new stuff for my kitchen! I think almost everything in the dishwasher this time was purple! What a pretty site! :)

This apartment is truely a gift from the Lord and I am so blessed! So many have so much less than I do! But stuff doesn't matter...stuff is stuff. When it all fades away, there is one thing that is important and that is Jesus. I don't want to be define by what I have but Who I know. I have much but I am rich because I know the One who paid it all!

Coffee Table!

So in preparation to move back to UMHB in less in two and a half weeks, I am collecting stuff for my apartment! I have a lot already but it is fun to get some new stuff too! I think this is a great find by my dad! This is a oak coffee table on clearence for $29.99!!! {Yes, your vision is fine! $29.99!!!!} Awesome I know! :) And I love it!

It is actually a square and pretty heavy! :)

This is going to look great in the living room! I will post pictures once it has arrived in my apartment!!! :)
